CD-ROM in DOS
-
When my teenage son was playing with my computer it crashed Windows 95. I reinstalled Windows but it appears that my CD-ROM will not run under DOS. How can I get the CD-ROM to work under DOS?
The reason for this may be that DOS does not recognise any drivers for your CD-ROM. Drivers are software that enables your computer to communicate with your hardware. When your computer crashed, these drivers may have been wiped out. To reinstall the drivers, consult your CD-ROM’s manual. When you are finished, check that the lines are in your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS to initiate the CD-ROM drive.
