My friend has a Macintosh, and uses Eudora Light. But when Canberra started putting a ‘6′ in front of the phone number, her modem would not dial the server. She hasn’t had access to the net for a while, and desperately needs to check her e-mail. Could you help me fix it for her? How would I edit the connection and put a six in front of it?

I’m sorry but at this point I can only supply you with limited advice because you haven’t provided me with enough information. All I could say now would be that you would have to go into ‘Connection Properties’ and edit the phone number (if you are using MacOS 8+ it may ask for a password to edit these properties).
