Calendar.exe

  • I am having difficulty getting my ‘Calendar.exe’ and ‘Calendar.hlp’ files to open. I was in Calendar and put some dates and times in OK. Now however I get the message ‘Stop. This application has violated system integrity due to execution of an invalid instruction and will be terminated. Quit applications, quit windows and then restart Windows and your computer’ I cannot open a lot of files including all help files. Can you please help? I am running Windows 3.1.

The most probable reason for this error occurring is a problem with the program itself or a conflict with another program on your system. I suggest that you start by reinstalling Calendar and if there is no improvement then check any other applications that you have recently installed and, if needed, uninstall them and then reinstall them to see if and/or which application is causing the conflict. Another solution, that I think is much easier and rewarding, is to install another application that has the same features as Calendar. There are many applications like this and some of these are more feature rich and easier to use than Calendar. Many of these can be found on cover CD’s of magazines (but make sure it is designed for Windows 3.1 or 3.11 NOT Windows 95 or 98!).

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
