Blind Carbon Copy
-
I am using Microsoft Internet Mail for email. I have set up several groups who receive regular newsletters. Some of the recipients have reported being able to read the full email address of all recipients in the group. Some recipient’s report seeing only nicknames on the email they receive but when they reply to author the full addresses appear. I have tried sending the email to myself and the group using the carbon copy facility and setting up the recipient’s addresses as nicknames and various other things. I do not appear to have a blind carbon copy facility in the package I am using. Any suggestions?
I suggest that you get an email package that does support features such as blind carbon copy (Bcc). There are many good free email packages that are available to download over the internet. Microsoft Outlook Express is very good and it comes standard with Windows 98. If you do not want to buy Windows 98, you could download Netscape, which has a mail facility. You can download Netscape from the official site at home.netscape.com. Should you not want to change your email package, you could make use of free mailing list services on the internet. ListBot is very popular and has a good mailing list service on the internet. Go to www.listbot.com and have a look at the site and the advantages of using ListBot (maybe even signup and create your own mailing list group’¦it is free).
