Netscape send later

  • My web browser is Netscape 4.5. Whenever I send an email message from the ‘Send Later’ folder, after I have sent the message a couple of additional messages that I have sent some time in the past appear in the folder (apparently from no where!). Netscape kindly informs me that ‘The unsent mail folder contains two messages that are not scheduled for delivery. This probably means that some program other than Netscape had added messages to this folder’. I cannot find anything about this at Netscape’s web site. I would appreciate your advice.

A bug in the program is the probable cause of your problem as Netscape would not usually behave this way. Firstly, try reinstalling Netscape. If it still doesn’t work, obtain the newest version of Netscape from their website (home.netscape.com). As a final resort, I suggest you swap to another email client. There are many free ones available on the internet and some even come standard with other packages (eg. Outlook Express comes with Windows 98). It shouldn’t be a major hassle to transition between email clients.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
