Works default font

  • Running Windows 95, I do most of my word processing using Works version 4.5. For my financial records I use the spreadsheet in which the default font is Courier New. Since I prefer Times New Roman I alter all my entries to that font. However, when I cut-and-paste an entry to another location the empty space left from this move automatically changes the font of a new entry there into the default (Courier New) font which is quite irritating. Is there a way out of this?

There is a quite simple way to get around Works going back to the default font. When you are in Works with a spreadsheet document do a ‘Select All’ (CTRL-A or select it in the ‘Edit’ menu) this will select all cells in the spreadsheet and once this has happened, select ‘Times New Roman’ from the font drop down box and the desired size, etc’¦ Once that has been completed, click on any cell in the spreadsheet to deselect all of the cells. Your whole spreadsheet will now be in the font ‘Times New Roman’.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
