Required DLL missing

  • Recently, each time I start my computer I get a message in the toolbar at the bottom of my Windows 95 desk top saying “McAfee Imaging: A required DLL is the missing or wrong version!” Can you please tell me how I can find out which driver this is and how I can rectify the problem? I have a copy of Driver Detective for what it’s worth. Thank you.

This problem is probably caused because sometime you (or another program) accidentally deleted a DLL file that is required by McAfee Imaging, causing that error message to appear during boot up. The DLL file can’t be individually loaded, so you will have to uninstall the program then reinstall it. By doing this you will be reinstalling all the files needed by this program (including the one that went missing).

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
