share.exe

  • In correcting something on my computer I appear to have wiped out an important file. When I attempt to open Winword or Word documents the message ‘xxx is not a valid Win32 application’ appears. I have reinstalled windows and then attempted to reinstall Word but I get the message that share.exe is not available. I’ve found share.exe but I get the message that it is an incorrect Dos version. Can you help?

Before I am able to answer your question I will need some more information. Please contact me via the Canberra Times, either by post, fax, or email with the following information: what version of Word are you using, and what version of Windows are you using. Thanks for your patience.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
