Save PDF

  • There are times when I want to look at a file offline but IE5 automatically opens the program that runs the file and executes without giving me the option. I’m thinking about PDF files particularly when I know what I want and want to download and save for later access. I know that there is a facility for saving as a favorite and then working offline but to do that Acrobat has already been opened and the file is on display. Is there some way to get the option of saving or opening for PDF files for example.

There is a way to save PDF and other files for offline viewing. When you find a link to a PDF file that you wish to download, right-click on the link and select and click from the menu that appears ‘Save Target As…’. In your case, the target would be a PDF file so it will save the PDF file to your local hard drive for offline viewing.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
