SVAPLAYER.DLL file is linked to missing export ATL.DLL

  • I seem to be getting this error ‘Error starting program, the SVAPLAYER.DLL file is linked to missing export ATL.DLL:57 ‘. This only began recently possibly after a hard drive defragment.

I did some research on the file ATL.DLL and found that this stands for Active Template Library which is a general purpose program library used by various programs and seemingly is part of ActiveX. This problem could arise if the version of ATL.DLL on your computer is out of date or corrupt. Try downloading the latest version of ATL.DLL from activex.microsoft.com/controls/vc/atl.cab. If the problem persists, try reinstalling the program which is causing the error when loading. It seems that in your case the program is something like SVA Player.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
