My PC is a Pentium 150MHz with 64mb RAM and 12gb hard drive running on Windows 95. When I try to load 3D Studio Max 3.1 it always hangs after I start the program. There is nothing wrong with the program as I have tried it on a friends computer which is a much lower capacity than mine. Please advise.

There could be a myriad of reasons why 3D Studio Max won’t work on your computer. I was reading the system requirements for the program on www2.discreet.com/support/max/index.html and it said that the minimum performance computer you need in order to run 3D Studio Max is 200Mhz with 128mb RAM. The article also mentioned that Windows 95 is not a supported operating system for the program (which is probably why it doesn’t work). You mentioned that it will work on your friend’s lower capacity computer. Although you could try running it at less than the recommended specifications, which is probably what you have done, you probably still couldn’t run it as Windows 95 is not supported.
