Email arrives in HTML code
-
I am a subscriber to the CNET Tweak Freak newsletter. However, the newsletter arrives in code format rather than HTML format. Can you tell me why when I receive others in normal text mode? Would appreciate your help in this matter.
This code that you are seeing is HTML code which is the foundation for web pages, and in your case, the newsletter. For some reason your email reader doesn’t like receiving this newsletter in HTML format. I don’t think that the actual newsletter is the problem, as I have viewed it as an HTML page and it displays as a web page. The most likely explanation why this is occurring is, because you are using an email reader which doesn’t support HTML email. If you would like to swap to an email reader which does support HTML email, consider using Outlook Express 5 if you are running Windows 9x/2000. I also had a look at the newsletter subscription page to see if there is an option to receive the email in plain text rather than HTML. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be one available. So, I suggest that you swap to a email reader which supports HTML email. However, if you are using one and you are still getting the problem, please contact me again.
