Cannot find Photoshop interface fonts and the Photoshop UI Font
-
I am using Windows 98 on a Pentium III. When I run Adobe Photoshop, the message ‘Cannot find Photoshop interface fonts and the Photoshop UI Font’ appears. I uninstalled Photoshop and installed it on my other computer, also running Windows 98, and the problem was not replicated. I reinstalled Windows 98 on the computer in question but it did not fix the problem. How can I fix this problem?
This problem is recognised by Adobe and can be solved in three ways. Firstly, the ADMUI2.FON or ADMUI3.FON files may not be installed on your computer. These are the Photoshop font files and their absence could cause the error to occur. Secondly, your computer may have too many TrueType fonts active. To fix this, you will need to reduce the number of fonts. Thirdly, if you installed fonts using a third-party font management utility rather than the ‘Fonts’ control panel, you may need remove the fonts installed using the third-party utility. Due to space constraints, I cannot publish full details for each of these possible causes. However, you can find detailed solutions to all of these at the Adobe Support Knowledgebase article: www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/147a2.htm.
