Back and forward buttons disabled

  • When using Windows 98 I have set each window to be displayed as a web page. However, the back and forward navigation buttons on the toolbar have somehow been disabled (greyed out) but were previously active. How do I reactivate these buttons?

    This problem is a known issue in Internet Explorer 5 for Windows 95, 98, and NT 4. This can been corrected by installing the latest version of Internet Explorer which can be found on most computer magazine cover CD’s.
