Virus Not Restored
-
I refer to your advice in the Canberra Times on Monday 22nd April under ‘Icky Kak’ where you recommended removal of a virus that had been detected by EZ Antivirus. I always thought that when my antivirus (Vet) detected a virus and displayed ‘Not Restored’ it meant that the virus was removed. Is that not so?
As far as I am aware, when Vet displays the message ‘Not Restored’ in response to finding a virus this means that the virus has not been deleted and in the case of a specific file being infected, the original, non-virus infected file, has not been restored. However, you may wish to contact Vet technical support to verify whether this assumption is correct.
