Selalu online

  • Lately, during start up and shut down, the first and last thing on the screen is a small rectangular box in the centre of the screen incorporating a small round grinning face with the words ’selalu online’. I don’t know how it got there, but more importantly what is it and how do I prevent it from occurring? I am running Windows Me.

Apparently, ’selalu’ stands for ‘always’ in Bahasa (Malay/Indonesia). However, this did not bring me any closer to discovering the cause of your problem. Originally my thoughts were that it was a virus, however, I searched on the internet for ’selalu online’ which brought up (mostly) non-English pages but none which inferred that this could be a virus. So, unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions. Perhaps some other readers have advice? If so, please write in.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
