  • I cannot print certain internet web pages as there seems to be something that stops the user from printing the page. Is there a way around this? Secondly, is there a way of making my computer alert me every second Sunday that something is to be done? I am running Windows 98 and Internet Explorer 6.

There is no way for a webpage to tell your web browser that it cannot print the page. It would appear that your web browser has a problem printing those pages which you cannot print. If this problem persists, please send me more detailed information on what exactly happens when you attempt to print a problem web page (e.g., you press ‘Print’ and nothing happens). Regarding your second question, unless you are currently running a program such as Microsoft Outlook (which has a built in calendar feature), you will have to get a third-party utility. Have a look at www.download.com and go to ‘Home & Education’ > ‘Calendars & Planners’. Here you will find free and shareware calendar utilities. If you want to just look at the freeware utilities, scroll to the bottom of the page and, in the filter selection box, click ‘All licences’ and change to ‘Free’.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
