Internet Explorer crashes on almost every page that I view. First, there’s the general message ‘This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down’. When OK is pressed, a second box, ‘Microsoft Internet Explorer’, opens with the message, ‘An error has occurred in Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer will now close. If you continue to experience problems, please restart your computer’. Internet Explorer then crashes. After upgrading my computer, the only Windows XP power option which functions is ‘Turn off monitor’. Turn off hard disk, system standby and hibernate do not work. However, I can put the computer into hibernate with the ‘Turn off computer’ option. The current configuration is:
    Turn off monitor: 20 mins
Turn off hard disk: 30 mins
    System standby: 45 mins
    System hibernate: 1 hour
Any help with making the other power option features work would be appreciated.
