Unable to initialise trace logging
-
I purchased The Saddle Club - Willowbrook Stables. When clicking the ‘Play Game’ button the following error message appears: ‘Unable to initialise trace logging’. The explanation on the manufacturer’s website is ‘There is no space on the hard disk. You are trying to run the game from a CD. Run the game from the computer while the CD is in the drive’. Now that I understand the problem, how do I run the game with the CD in the drive? After clicking the OK button an error appears ‘SADDLECLUB caused an invalid page fault in module SADDLECLUB.EXE’. The computer is a Pentium III 650 MHz with a 20 GB hard drive (10 GB free).
When viewing the manufacturer’s website I found that their explanation for the error message is not particularly clear. I think what it means is you need the CD in the CD drive when attempting to play the game. Put the Saddle Club CD into the CD drive, and then go to the shortcut and start the game. Quite a few games require the CD to be in the drive, for copy protection purposes or in case the game needs to load data from the CD. In the event this does not work, or you have already been doing this, uninstall the game, remove the CD from your computer and reboot the computer. Then, reinstall the game and (if prompted) reboot your computer. Before you attempt to run the game, make sure that the CD is in the CD drive. Please contact me again if this doesn’t fix the problem.
