When attempting to login to the members section of the Royal Canberra Golf Club website, an invalid login window appears with the following message: ‘Your login session has expired after 10 minutes of activity. Your combination of member no. and PIN is invalid. You have not logged in. Cookies are disabled in your browser’. Setting Internet Explorer to ‘accept all cookies’, and changing, then resetting various settings in the Internet Options has not fixed the problem. The login works successfully on other computers. The computer is running Windows 98 SE.
This is very similar to a problem I recently fixed for a friend wanting to login to the members-only area of a website and upon entering the username and password, resulted in a message very similar to yours - that the password is invalid or that cookies are not enabled. Funnily enough, the login page was using frames. So, I opened the actual login page (as opposed to the frames page, which loads the login page within one of the frames) and it worked perfectly. However, when going back to the frames page it ceased working. I noticed that the RCGC members only login is also in frames. Try going directly to the login page at bookings.royalcanberra.com.au/igolf/gcsbook.dll/login to check whether this will work. Please let me know if this works, as this was the only way I could solve the problem for my friend (and I was sitting in front of his computer!).
