“No to All” option

  • When completing file operations in Windows, a message may appear asking you what you wish to do. For example, if you are copying a file and there is already a file with the same name in a directory, a message will appear asking whether you wish to overwrite that file. You will notice four options are presented: Yes, Yes to All, No and Cancel. Note there is no ‘No to All’ option. So, if you didn’t want to overwrite any files in the directory you would need to click the ‘No’ option on every message that appears. Fortunately, there is an easier way. If you hold the SHIFT key and press ‘No’ in one of the messages, this will be interpreted as ‘No to All’. So, all other messages that would appear will automatically be interpreted as ‘No’.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
