Copy the folder/file path in Windows Vista

  • In Windows Vista, when using My Computer or Windows Explorer, the path of a particular file or folder is not displayed in the address bar, making it difficult to copy the path of a file or folder. Fortunately, there is a neat feature in Windows Vista allowing you to copy the path of any file or folder. Hold the SHIFT key and right-click on the file you wish to copy the path of, and in the context menu that appears click ‘Copy as Path’. This will copy the path of the file/folder to the clipboard, allowing you to paste this into another application.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
