Internet Explorer Error on Page
-
Every time I try to access video news clips from newspapers my computer comes up with “Error on Page”. How can I fix this?
I assume this error occurs when attempting to view video clips on news websites. The Error on Page message generally means that your web browser cannot understand the content being provided. Assuming you are using Internet Explorer there are a few procedures you can attempt. First, download the latest updates for Internet Explorer from Windows Update (windowsupdate.microsoft.com) and, if necessary, update Internet Explorer to version 7. Second, make sure that you have got the latest version of the necessary plug-ins installed so you can view the video clips. Without knowing the exact websites you are visiting I cannot tell which plug-ins you need, but the most common are Adobe Flash Player (www.adobe.com), Apple QuickTime Player (www.apple.com/quicktime/download), and Sun Java (www.java.com/getjava).
Should the problem continue, please contact me with more specific information (such as the browser being used, the video news clips you are trying to access, and a full description of the error message). In the meantime, you could also try using an alternative web browser such as Mozilla Firefox (www.mozilla.com/firefox) to see whether this can resolve the problem.
