Repeat header on Word table

  • In Microsoft Word if you have a table that spans multiple pages, you may wish to repeat the header row on each page. This can easily be accomplished by selecting the top row in the table (which will be repeated), and then right-click and select “Table Properties”. In the window that appears, click the “Row” tab and enable “Repeat as header row at the top of each page”. Click OK to save and close. There are also numerous other useful settings in the Table Properties, such as allowing table rows to split over pages (this setting can be found on the Row tab) and specifying the height of rows (Row tab) and width of columns (Column tab). I encourage you to explore these different settings and how they can be applied to your documents.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
