I have plugged my digital camera SD card into the computer using a USB adapter. I would like to put the images onto my computer so these can be edited before burning the images onto CD. However, the scanner and camera wizard only detects the scanner connected to the computer, and not the camera SD card. How can I transfer the images to the computer? The computer is running Windows XP.

The reason the scanner and camera wizard cannot see your SD card is because this wizard can only see scanner and camera devices which are connected to the computer. In your case, you have only plugged the storage card containing the digital camera images into your computer. This will appear simply as another disk drive within My Computer and Windows Explorer. You can then access the SD card and copy the image files exactly like you would copy files from any other removable media, such as a USB flash drive.
