  • A runtime error has occurred. Do you wish to debug?

    When using Internet Explorer (provided by AT&T/Yahoo) a message appears saying ?A runtime error has occurred. Do you wish to debug? Line: 3 Error: Unexpected call to method or property access”. If I click “No? the message disappears and I can continue using the web browser. However, if I click “Yes” the computer freezes. How can I stop this message appearing altogether?   • Outbound emails incorrect time

    A few weeks ago our house experienced some power outages when sending email. While I did have some trouble getting back online, requiring some computer reboots, all the data appears to be intact and nothing has been lost. However, since this outage the clock in Outlook Express has been losing time. The time for incoming mail messages is correct, but the time for outbound (sent) messages is slow. How can I fix this problem? The computer is running Windows XP. (more…)

This contains technical documentation on many different Microsoft products, including Windows, which is extremely valuable for administrators and power users. Of particular use is the “TechNet Library” which contains substantial technical documentation.   • Slow shutdown

    My computer has recently begun to shutdown very slowly, taking 12 Hours to completely shut down! When I click the “Shut Down” command the “Logging Off” message appears and around 12 Hours later the computer finishes shutting down and powers-off. How can I make this shutdown process quicker?   • Monitor dual view

    My computer has a Soltek SL86SPE2-l) motherboard with an Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS running Windows XP. The computer has two monitors connected to the video card, but when attempting to active the dual monitor view I cannot see the second monitor in the display settings. This occurs in both the Windows Display control panel and the Nvidia Graphics utility. Downloading and install the latest drivers from Nvidia does not resolve the problem. How can I activate the second monitor connected to the computer? (more…)
