Vista’s lack of an up button
-
Users of Windows Vista may notice that something is missing from the toolbar in Windows Explorer – the up button, which in previous versions of Windows would take you to the previous level in the path (i.e. the parent folder). While you can jump to the parent folder by clicking its name in the address bar, I prefer the quick method of just being able to click a button. While this button is not present in Vista, you can mimic the Up function by pressing the ALT-Up Arrow key combination.
