Non-Optimal Resolution

Most days when I turn on the computer a blue and yellow message appears on the screen informing that the resolution is not at the optimal setting and suggests a different resolution should be used. Making things more difficult is the message will not disappear. I have checked the resolution setting in Windows which is the same as the resolution suggested in the message. If you are involved with configuring networks you often need to find out information on subnets. This is a key concept in computer networking which can drive you mad if you need to do many subnet calculations. However, there is an excellent free utility called the BitCricket IP Calculator which can do these subnet calculations for you. I have found this particularly useful when setting up networks. Windows Vista Sleep Issues

Whenever I put my Windows Vista computer into sleep mode it goes through the power down procedure but within 30 – 60 seconds the computer wakes up again. The computer is running Windows Vista Home Basic. (more…)

KBD.EXE Error

Frequently an error message appears advising that “KBD.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close”. I can close the error message and the computer appears to continue working correctly, but the message is quite irritating. How can I stop this error message from appearing?
