Placeholder Text in Word Document

  • If you need to quickly insert text into a Word document (for example, to fill out empty space which will soon be occupied by real-text) there is a handy function built into Word that will insert text into the document. Type the following text exactly as its written into a Word document =rand(1) and press the Enter key to generate one paragraph of text. Changing the number within the brackets will change the number of paragraphs that are generated.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
