Mac OS X Snow Leopard

  • Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) was released on Friday 28th September 2009. Before you get too excited about the new fancy features, be aware that Snow Leopard is mainly an “under-the-hood” tuning release, meaning there are plenty of improvements on the back-end about how the operating system performs but not so much on the front-end for the user. That said, there are some nice improvements relating to Expose, how files and folders are displayed, and also the new version of QuickTime. Now that Snow Leopard is fully 64-bit there may be compatibility issues with certain applications, so make sure you check compatibility of your applications before upgrading.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
