Snow Leopard Minimise to Dock
-
Mac OS X Snow Leopard has quite a few nice little improvements in the user interface. One improvement which I recently found is the ability to minimise windows into their respective dock icons. Under previous versions of Mac OS X, windows minimise to the right-hand side of the dock, occupying a place in the dock. The only problem with this system is that if you minimise many windows they each occupy space in the dock, which can result in a very crowded dock! However, Snow Leopard has introduced the nifty feature where windows can be minimised behind their application icon in the dock, so that each minimised window does not take up additional space. To turn on this feature go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Dock and tick “Minimize windows into application icon”.
