Five viruses were detected by Norton Internet Security 2008 on my computer. Virtualisation is the ability to run multiple “guest” operating systems independently on one physical computer. This has major advantages, particularly relating to efficiency, cost and space savings for the computer hardware. VMware have a free version of the server-based virtualisation software called VMware Server. This can either run on Windows or Linux host computers and allows you to install guest operating systems. This is perfect for test environments, or people who simply may wish to tinker in another operating system without wanting the inconvenience of having to repartition their computer. VMware Server can be downloaded for free at www.vmware.com/products/server .

However, every time I start the computer the “Found New Hardware” wizard appears asking to install the drivers for the device. It seems like the computer is forgetting that the device has already been installed. How can I fix this problem? The computer is running Windows Vista Home Premium. (more…)
