Excel 2007 Freeze Rows

  • When working in Excel 2007, I often find the need to freeze the top row of the spreadsheet which contains the table headings. This allows the spreadsheet to be freely scrolled while keeping the top row frozen at the top of the table so that you can easily reference the headings. This is very easy to achieve in Excel 2007. Go to the “View” tab on the ribbon and select “Freeze Panes” > “Freeze Top Row”. In addition, you can also freeze the first column and also particular panes within the worksheet.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
