Snow Leopard Spaces vs Lion Mission Control
-
Recently I purchased a MacBook Air which came pre-loaded with Mac OS X Lion. Although this new software is generally good I do not like the introduction of “Mission Control” as this seems five steps backward over the previous “Spaces” functionality in Snow Leopard. Is there a way to revert to Spaces instead of Mission Control?
This is a very good question and something which I have been researching for quite a while, ever since upgrading my own systems from Snow Leopard to Lion. I too found that the Spaces functionality in Snow Leopard was much better suited to my workflow compared to the new Spaces found as part of Mission Control in Lion. Unfortunately there is no way to go back to the old Spaces which was present in Snow Leopard and I have not even been able to find a third-party product which is able to mimic the old Spaces behaviour. I imagine that eventually someone will come-up with a product which can provide this behaviour, but until then you will unfortunately be stuck using the new version of Spaces. If any other readers have suggestions on how you can get the Snow Leopard Spaces functionality in Lion then please write in.
