Itchybrain Productions

ItchyBrain Productions

Hi there — this is Darryl Butler, owner of Itchybrain Productions. I create websites for solo, micro and small business.

My role in The Kid's website was to create the visual design, and develop the CSS code for the presentation.

Working with The Kid has been a great experience. Responding to his brief for a fun visual identity with some kind of science-fiction twist was very engaging, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The code was also required to integrate with The Kid's choice of content management system, and working with standards-based methods made this easy to achieve.

Recognising our synergy, we soon put our skills to good use on other projects, including my own website content management system — the 'BareBones CMS'. With newfound freedom to self-manage their website content, my clients are excited about having control of their own self-promotion.

If you'd like to know more about Itchybrain or the BareBones CMS, please drop by my website: http://www.itchybrain.com.au

PC Users Group Canberra

PC Users Group Canberra

The Canberra PCUG (PC Users Group) has been part of the Canberra community for over 20 years. We are one of the larger non-profit community groups here and our motto is "Users helping Users". The group is largely run by volunteers, and we have premises (including training facilities) in Holder ACT. The group provides full dial-up and Broadband Internet services to its members, and was the first Internet Service provider in Canberra. For more information on the group, please see our Web pages at http://www.pcug.org.au and perhaps download a brochure from http://www.pcug.org.au/member_info/howtojoin.htm. Our centre is manned from 10am to 2pm seven days per week, and further enquiries can be directed there on (02) 6287 2922.

When the Kid approached us to host his web site and database, we immediately recognised it as a great asset for our members and the wider community. A real Win Win situation. So our system administrators loaded some specialised software onto our web servers and left it to the Kid to continue to develop his site, and the all important database.

We are delighted to be helping the Kid to help Canberra's PC owning community by facilitating this very useful site.
