To read email I have been using my ISPs webmail interface rather than Outlook Express. However, I would like to start using Outlook Express again as it seems to be faster than webmail. When I open Outlook Express and click on the “Send/Receive” button there are 194 messages waiting, all of which I have already read on webmail. I cannot delete these messages without reading them, which involves downloading all the messages. However, I cannot download all the messages as my connection drops out long before all have downloaded. The computer is running Windows XP. (more…)

I would like to use this space to display some historical family images so that other family members can access these photos. However, all the files can only be stored in the root of the web space and cannot be in separate folders. I have tried numerous freeware web creators but they all store the images in separate folders. Do you know of any freeware utilities that can create a webpage and store all associated files in the one root directory? The computer is running Windows XP. (more…)

A few months ago the Facebook page stopped displaying properly on my computer in Firefox and Internet Explorer. At the time I do not recall installing anything new on the computer or changing any configuration settings, although I may have done so and cannot recall. Now, the Facebook page displays with headings along the left-hand side and only a few photos appear. So it seems that the computer is not rendering the Facebook page correctly. No other websites are displayed improperly and all other computers on the network can display the Facebook page normally. Deleting the temporary internet files and history have not resolved the problem. The computer is running Windows Vista. (more…)
