If you have a group of websites you open regularly, there is a method in Firefox to automatically open a group of websites, saving you the trouble of opening each site individually. In the Firefox Bookmarks menu, create a folder. Then, put all the bookmarks you wish to open as a group inside the folder. Finally, to open all the websites contained inside the folder, right-click on the folder and select ‘Open in Tabs’. AutoText

The AutoText feature in Microsoft Word can be a real time saver if you frequently type certain text. You can add frequently typed text to the AutoText list, so when Word detects you are typing the text again it will automatically suggest the completed text. To configure AutoText, go to the ‘Insert’ menu > ‘AutoText’. In the window that appears, click the ‘AutoText’ tab. Type some text into the AutoText entries list (e.g. ‘Look at me - I am using the AutoText function’) and then click ‘Insert’ to add the text to the list. Make sure ‘Show AutoComplete Suggestions’ is enabled and finally click OK to save and close the window. In the document, start typing the previously added text and Word should detect you are typing the text and suggest the full text, at which point you can press ENTER to automatically complete the text. Tabbed browsing is one of the best features of the Firefox web browser (www.mozilla.com/firefox). However, moving between the tabs using the mouse can be a cumbersome process. A quicker way to cycle through the tabs is using the CTRL-TAB keyboard shortcut. By using this shortcut, you can cycle through the Firefox tabs in order (much like using the ALT-TAB shortcut to cycle through Windows applications). Another useful shortcut is CTRL-T, which will create a new (blank) Firefox tab. (more…)
