  • Computer freezing

    At least once a day my computer will totally freeze on me. The mouse stops working, the keyboard won’t respond. When I the computer gives me a message that the system has become unstable, or that the system is waiting for a response. It happens when I’m on the net as well as just playing games in Win95. Occasionally it survives long enough for a “fatal error” message to be displayed. I thought it may have been a virus but I downloaded McAfee’s latest anti-viral software, scanned every file possible yet no virus was found. Could it be some sort of driver incompatibility, or perhaps some part of the memory is physically damaged? How do I find out?

  • CD-ROM in DOS

    When my teenage son was playing with my computer it crashed Windows 95. I reinstalled Windows but it appears that my CD-ROM will not run under DOS. How can I get the CD-ROM to work under DOS? (more…)
