Memory block error

  • When I try to run a email program (Eudora) on my computer I get an error message stating that the memory block that my modem needs to use is in use and therefore I cannot download my email. How can I reassign the memory block to fix this error?

    1. Open the control panel > system > device manager tab > [double click on the device that is causing trouble] > resources tab.
    2. View the conflict device list to see what the conflict is
    3. Double click on the icon next to the conflicting device
    4. Scroll through the available resources and select one that doesn’t conflict with that device or any others.

NB: If this remedy doesn’t work you may have to physically change the jumpers on the hardware card.

Hi there. If this is the first time you are posting a comment it will not appear immediately, but needs to be approved. This is necessary in order to combat comment spam. However, once you have submitted a comment (which is subsequently approved) you do not need to go through this process again - the site remembers who you are and auto-approves your comments. Nifty eh? Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience that this may cause for your first comment post.
