Skype audio PDF Print
Monday, 27 August 2007

Recently a friend setup Skype on my Windows XP Professional computer. To talk over Skype I purchased a Logitech microphone headset. All seems to be working correctly, and I can hear other callers and also Windows system sounds (such as the Windows XP startup sound). However, other people cannot hear me. I have tried adjusting all the settings, and followed the Skype instructions, but still to no avail. Is it possible that I have faulty headphones?

Windows XP loosing sound PDF Print
Sunday, 17 April 2005

Recently my computer was upgraded to Windows XP Home Edition. Everything is working well, except on two occasions the sound has been lost. On the first occasion I took the computer to a technician who reloaded the driver, which fixed the problem. However, the problem has reoccurred. I have done all the usual things like checking connections. Can you suggest what may be causing this annoying issue?

No CD audio PDF Print
Sunday, 20 February 2005

When attempting to play an audio CD no sound comes through the external speakers. However, I am able to play music stored on the hard drive and CDs containing MP3 files. Interestingly, I can hear the music if I plug-in headphones. The computer is running Windows 98.
